St. Catharine of Siena Church is hiring a mission-oriented and highly organized Secretary to coordinate and facilitate the day-to-day operations and activities of the Parish. This position offers the flexibility and opportunity to make use of a wide variety of skills, and works hand-in-hand with the pastor in order to make disciples for Jesus Christ.

St. Catharine Preschool

Preschool Teacher

The Preschool teacher is responsible for developing a cohesive teaching team, coordinating the curriculum, and managing the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom. Teachers must understand children’s cognitive, social, emotional and physical development in order to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where children are actively engaged and encouraged to succeed. The Teacher must be skilled in communicating with both children and adults in order to meet the needs of the children, effectively guide co-teachers/teacher assistants, and create partnerships with families. This position reports to the Preschool Director in collaboration with the Pastor and Principal.


Educational and Experience Requirements

Lead Teachers: Preferred Associate’s Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with experience in the early childhood field

Assistant Teachers: Minimum of a High School Diploma with experience in the early childhood field

All employees must pass a FBI and BCI background check, must pass health screening and must complete Protecting God’s Children and all Health and Safety classes


Additional Knowledge, Skills and Physical Requirements

Requirements include the ability to take frequent walks, use hands and fingers, handle objects, tools or controls, talk to and hear voices at many levels. May also be required to kneel, bend, squat and get up quickly. Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs. repeatedly throughout the day.

 Strong oral and written communication skills and basic computer skills.

A strong understanding of child development.
