The Sacrament of Confirmation seals us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit in the presence of our parish family. What amazing grace it is to be marked with God’s seal, commissioned to be true witnesses of Christ! We are so excited to continue this journey of Faith with your family.
Confirmation
Preparation for Confirmation is a two-year experience at St. Catharine, which begins in 7th grade (for Confirmation in 8th grade).
It includes Family of Faith and a Confirmation Retreat.

How do I enroll my child in formation for Confirmation?
Candidates preparing to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation should be attending and participating in Sunday Mass and should be enrolled in (and regularly attending) Family of Faith for two consecutive years if they are not a student at a Catholic school.
Candidates are asked to participate in the Family of Faith program and attend the Confirmation retreat. After being Confirmed, they are warmly welcomed and encouraged to join Lumen, our High School Youth Group. It is our hope that these opportunities will support your family in preparing your child to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation.
At St Catharine, we realize that "parents have the first responsibility for the education of their children. The role of parents in education is of such importance that it is almost impossible to provide an adequate substitute". (Catechism of the Catholic Church #2221, 2223)
If you are preparing your child at home to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation at St. Catharine, please contact Maggie Cook, maggie@stcatharine.com, to let us know the materials you are using and to work out the details for your child’s reception of the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Were you asked to be a Confirmation sponsor at another parish?
If you are a registered parishioner at St. Catharine, but wish to be a sponsor for a Confirmation taking place at another parish, please fill out the Sponsorship form for Baptism or Confirmation, and send it to the parish office.
